October

Not much went down during October.  We went to school, went to work, decorated for Halloween, though not until maybe the week before......  The kids had class parties, and got to dress up in their costumes for them.  I loved that, it's been so long since we were at a place where costumes were encouraged.  The housing group held a pumpkin patch one evening where they gave away free pumpkins to everyone who came.  It was awesome, especially since purchasing a pumpkin for each of the kids would have cost close to $50!  Pumpkins are not cheap.  The club held a Fall festival that we went to and then set off fireworks.  The festival was very crowded, but the fireworks were pretty cool.

Someone decorated Tim's office as a surprise for his birthday.  Then they brought in cake for everyone to enjoy.  It was pretty cool!

We had a small ward Halloween party at church, and the kids enjoyed it quite a bit.  We got home in time to have something to eat, and then we had to get ready for trick or treating.  The kids haven't ever actually gone trick or treating in the frigid weather before, so it was a battle convincing them they needed to wear coats with their costumes.  It was about 17 farenheit when we went out, and we just about froze, but we had a great time!

A neighbor had a Tardis in his yard.... Lissa was in heaven.

This is how we do it in Alaska!
