Merry Christmas!!! It was such a wonderful day.
Corben had the hardest time going to bed, He kept coming out of his room to make sure
we were going to go to bed so Santa would come. Eventually he fell asleep, and we were able to make sure Santa had free reign.
Most of our Christmas was put on video, that is too large to post. So here's a quick run down. Both
Corben and
Rylissa got razors (scooters, not blades).
Corben got an extremely large Nerf gun, and
Rylissa got some Barbie and Barbie accessories.
Tayzia got a Leap Frog music table and some books. She also got a toy xylophone. Both kids received some clothes.
Corben also got a new Ben 10 game and a really cool Ben 10 alien maker. (more on that later)
Rylissa got the Tinkerbell movie, and some really neat Princess dolls.
Daddy got some new books, and an
ipod dog. You plug your
ipod into it, and it dances while playing music. Mommy got a new iron (sounds bad, but I really wanted one!) The movie
Mamma Mia, and the coolest thing of all, an
ipod docking station with DVD player, for my kitchen. I do a lot in the kitchen, and I like my distractions, and now I have one!
Yay !

Here is
Corben and Daddy with
Corben's Alien maker. It's really neat. Ben 10 can turn into 10 different aliens. This has all the aliens, but you take them apart, put their body parts on a conveyor belt of sorts, and push a button, and it creates new aliens. Lets just say HOURS of fun for
Corben, and LOTS of little pieces for mommy to clean up!

Hungry Hungry Hippos was also a very big hit for time consuming fun

In the late afternoon we had people over for dinner, and Christmas fun. Our friends the Barney's came, and some of the guys Tim works with, Brandon and Zack. After eating dinner, the Nerf guns came out. It wasn't planned, but it ended up being quite the adventure. Darts were flying everywhere, the kids were screaming, the adults were shooting
each other. Good fun!

Even
Tazers got in on the action, swatting people with her sword.

As a special treat to ourselves, the family got a
Playstation 3. Yes we already have a
Wii, but this is
mostly for the
Blu Ray player. It's almost as much to buy a
blu ray, so why not buy one that you can play games on as well? Of course, we had to get something to play on the system, for it to be any fun you know...... So we picked up Rock Band 2, after hearing wonderful things about it.

After quite a while of shooting, running, and hiding, we decided it was time for a break, and out came the instruments. Jay had gone home and picked up some of his rock band instruments, and we all rocked out. Who knew it could be
sooooo much fun?

Here's Tatum and
Tazers playing around.
Tayzia is eating this really yummy Japanese ice cream treat that the Barney's brought. It's vanilla ice cream, wrapped in a rice dough. Really tasty, I'm going to have to go buy some!

After a day filled with such fun and excitement, it was time for some tears.
Tayzia (as far as we can tell) hit the corner of her eye on the corner of a filing cabinet. After
worrying about whether or not she actually injured her eye, or just the skin, we finally decided it was just the skin, but she cried so hard and for a long time. I ended up giving her some Tylenol, and when she seemed cheered up, she went to bed. She now has a nice shiner, and I'm wondering when someone is going to ask why I beat my kids! This girl has had so many black eyes, and bumps and bruises. Poor kid.
All in all it was a WONDERFUL Christmas, and just pure fun!
