Metal Mouth

So, it's been just about a year.  A year since Corben first got his 1st phase orthodontic treatment.  Since we are moving, and to a foreign country, they created the treatment to work as much as possible in our alotted time.  So Corben was able to get the braces off!  Yay for Corben.  Of course, he has to wear a retainer at all times for the next three or so years, at least until all his permanent teeth come in.  Then he'll get the second phase of treatment.

The orthodontist removing Corben's brackets.  Makes a terrible sound!

Corben was allowed to design his own retainer.  They had a book filled with different colors, and designs.  He could even create his own design if he wanted.  He chose rainbow sparkles as the background, with neon yellow bat signal.  The cool thing with neon, if he holds it under the light, it will glow in the dark!

I absolutely loved this orthodontist.  If you happen to need orthodontics and you live in the Monterey area, I wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Tim Auger.  He made this entire process fun for Corben.  The office staff was amazing, and remembered who Corben was, and he loved them all.  They gave him balloons and his own bottle of Martinelli's.  He felt so special!  Congrats kiddo!
