So, one week after we got our daddy home, Grandma and Grandpa Nelson showed up to spend Christmas with us, and help us with some of our pre move things that we would never have accomplished without them (Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you Thank you!)
So Christmas Eve started with the annual opening of new pajamas. Rylissa got a set that had shorts, and pants, and she couldn't decide which to wear, so she wore them both! Silly girl. The kiddos then wanted to watch a movie, and Tim had a family gift that would be perfect, so we opened that as well.
I have kind of always wanted to have one of these..... I love popcorn, and I love movie theater popcorn more. Microwave popcorn just doesn't cut it! FYI, it works, and it tastes AWESOME!
We made cookies for Santa, who thoroughly enjoyed them......
Then the kiddos went to bed, and Santa showed up!
Sleepy Time!
The kiddos were appropriately excited, and came and jumped on our bed waking us up with wonderful chants of "It's Christmas, it's Christmas". Then they quietly knocked on Grandma and Grandpas door, to kindly wake them up for Christmas.
Santa brought each child a new, and color coded wii remote.... if you can't tell, Corben was excited about that.
Santa must have known that we were moving soon, because he brought each kid a new camera, so they could document their new adventures.
Davin got a Cars Micro Drifters race track and cars, and it quickly became the favorite toy for all of the kiddos until.....
Grandma and Grandpa gave Davin these cars.......
Tayzia got a princess Cadence from My Little Pony, which has quickly become her favorite.....
Corben got two new Nintendo DS games, Pokemon white 2, and Pokemon Black 2.
Lissa got Barbie, princess and the popstar, which she has been begging for, for months. Thanks Santa!
If you can't tell, Corben was feeling the Christmas high!
Corben: Lego's, 2 DS games, Camera, Sketch pad and pencils,
Rylissa: Camera, movie, DS game, Earring holder and jewelry
Tayzia: Camera, DS game, memory game, books and coloring books
Davin: Vtech computer, coloring book, Cars racetrack and cars, Shake and Go Professor Z
It was a wonderful Christmas, made all the better by having our grandparents here. We spent the rest of the day vegging out with movies, eating food, having a great Christmas dinner, and then, because we're moving, putting away all the Christmas decorations. I usually start that a day or two after Christmas. This was the first time I did it all on Christmas night. Kind of sad, but strangely, it was a relief to have it all cleaned up!
Merry Christmas!
