It has been a week of firsts! First off.... Corben started 4th grade. This year he has a male teacher, and so far, it seems he's having nothing but fun. He hasn't had any of his normal "issues" yet. I plan to have a sit down chat with his teacher soon, just to check, and make sure he's not having any problems, but so far this school year seems promising. I can't believe that he's in 4th grade already. Next year he's fifth, and then he's in middle school! HOLY COW!
A week after Corben's first day, Rylissa started her first day at her new charter school. She's in 3rd grade this year. She also has a male teacher, and he called all of his students the night before to tell them how excited he was to have them in his class. She thought that was pretty special. So far she's having a great time going to school.
It helps that one of her best friends, who just happens to live three houses down, also goes to this school Since there is only one third grade class, they are in the same class, and just happen to sit next to each other. Perfect!
How did we celebrate having only two kids at home during the day again? Why we went to our favorite Chinese restaurant. When we were almost finished, our server sat to snap peas, and Tayzia was asking what he was doing. He thinks she's cute, and asked her if she wanted to help, which of course she did, and off she went to snap peas with the waiter! She's so friendly, and cute!
(what is not pictured is Davin throwing his glass down, and shattering it on the table..... sigh)
