Seven

Spring time is the time of birthdays in our home. Just 2 short weeks after Corben's fun day, Rylissa reached her newest year! To make it even better, Grandma and Grandpa Nelson showed up on the doorstep just before dinner! What a great birthday surprise! I spent the day cooking, so her cake ended up not being at all what I wanted to create. Then the heat from our kitchen helped the frosting start to sag. Oh well, she was super happy with it, and in the end, that is all that matters.

She was riddled with gifts! Grandma and Grandpa gave her some neat books to read and write in, and of course FROGS! She also got a cool mosaic art kit and some Pixos.

Pixos are these neat little bead things, that you put together to create a picture. Then when the picture is finished, you spray it with water, and they fuse together. She'd never seen them before, but has since created a few things that have just started to dry.

Grandma and Grandpa were so nice, they brought Tayzia a gift to open too. She pulled the frog out and practically yelled "It's a mister happy frog!" and has slept with it every night since.

Corben got a Frog and some books from G&G Nelson for his birthday too!

I don't think she liked this gift at all.... do you?

And finally, Corben got a bike for his birthday, so Rylissa got a scooter. She hasn't seemed interested in a bike, but this will get her around just fine. She's been riding it around the backyard ever since!
